About the Class

Our Adult Beginner/Intermediate Class is designed for anyone looking to improve their fitness, confidence, and self‑defence skills — no experience needed. Whether you’re starting from scratch, returning after a break, or simply looking to try something new, this class gives you a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment to learn at your own pace.


It isn’t about being the toughest person in the room — it’s about building strength, control, and confidence from the inside out.


You’ll develop real skills, get fitter, and feel more capable both physically and mentally.

What you will learn:

  1. Fundamental martial arts technique: Safe, effective movements suited to their age and skill level.

  2. Practical self‑defence skills: Situational awareness, boundary setting, and simple, reliable responses.

  3. Strength & fitness development: Mobility, coordination, bodyweight strength, balance, and agility.

  4. Discipline, respect & confidence: We emphasise encouragement, positive behaviour, and a growth mindset.

  5. Teamwork & social skills: Training with peers builds communication, cooperation, and leadership.

Class Structure

Each session includes:

  • Warm‑up and mobility

  • Technical coaching

  • Pad work and partner drills

  • Self‑defence practice

  • Strength & conditioning

  • Cool‑down and reflection

 

Everything is tailored for beginners — you’ll be encouraged, guided, and challenged at the right pace for you.
